When you adopt from Second Chance Pups (SCP), you will give a dog a second chance at finding a home and will not add to the nations pet overpopulation problem. The reality is that an estimated 3.7 million unwanted pets are euthenized at animal shelters every year…many because they could not find families to adopt them.

CAN I GIVE A PET AS A GIFT?
No. Never a good idea. Our dogs are looking for a forever home. We need to meet with the adopter and ensure that the fit is good for both. If you would like to gift the adoption fee for someone, we can work with you but the adopter will have to be approved.
WHAT ARE YOUR ADOPTION FEES?
They depend on the age and type of dog you are adopting. Fees typically run from $225.00 to $300.00. There are more details about adoption fees on our ADOPTION page.
DOES SCP HAVE PUREBRED ANIMALS FOR ADOPTION?
It is estimated that about 25% of the animals in shelters nationwide are purebred. If you are interested in a specific breed, check our website. Even if we do not have the breed you are looking for, you may be able to find an animal that has traits that are similar to those of the breed you have in mind.
IS IT DIFFICULT TO ADOPT?
At SCP we work hard to make our adoption experience as good as possible. We are all volunteers and work with SCP because we love the program. We pride ourselves on being flexible and will do whatever we can to match you to the right dog for your family.
